Jiahe County's CNC machine tool industry has been designated a provincial-level industrial cluster and achieved significant technological breakthroughs.

Jiahe County, a region boasting a millennium-long casting heritage, has in recent years propelled its CNC machine tool industry beyond traditional foundry operations towards "precision deep processing and complete machine assembly" through targeted cultivation and chain-strengthening initiatives. In 2025, the county secured designation as the "Hunan Provincial Drilling and Tapping Machine Tool Industry Cluster," establishing a comprehensive industrial chain featuring seven complete machine manufacturers, six optical-mechanical production enterprises, and 35 core component suppliers. This integrated ecosystem now produces 5,000 CNC machine tools annually, generating over 1.5 billion yuan in output value. The product portfolio encompasses over ten machine types, including vertical machining centres and CNC gantry machines, widely deployed across 3C electronics, new energy, aerospace, and other sectors. Recently, a locally developed 26-metre super-large dual-moving-column gantry machining centre was unveiled, filling a domestic technological gap in ultra-large gantry centres and boosting production efficiency by over 40%. Market-wise, "Jiahe-made" machine tools now serve industrial zones across the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta, while exports via the Belt and Road Initiative reach Africa and Southeast Asia.
